Vans has kicked off its UK retail transformation with the official opening of its new boutique store at 5-7 Neal Street, the first of its kind in Europe.

The new 4,359-square-foot concept store spans two floors and stocks a premium selection of the VF Corp-owned brand’s footwear, apparel and accessories, including Vault by Vans and its latest collaboration with designer Vivienne Westwood.

MCR Installations ended the year 2019 completing an iconic feature staircase for the new Vans Store in Covent Garden. As mentioned this is Vans very first boutique store to be launched in Europe! And we had the pleasure to be a major part of it. The teams efforts from start to finish ensured this project ran so smooth considering the ultra tight time-frame.

 

MCR Installations was given a blank canvas to design, fabricate and install this one of a kind staircase.  From day one we offered the client a full design package which included Design, BS Standards advise, Structural Calculations, CAD Drawings/3D Modelling for visuals down to fully supply of materials, on-site welding and installation.

 

The materials used were a combination of hot rolled steel for the main stair carcass, bespoke hot rolled steel handrails and track fixed structural glass which is boss fixed around stair opening.  Work was undertaken in Neal Street, Covent Garden for Element Interiors/VF.

 

As you can see this was a great focal point of the fit-out which gave the store such character.
